Professional Gaming Clan Looking for Recruits

The Monster Clan is the place to go for intense competition and high level of gameplay. We're not closing out to anyone that wants to join, but if you plan to stay in the Monster Clan you have to be prepared to learn how to play the games at a higher level than any other clan on the net (excluding maybe 3D or TmG considering their players play games for approximately ten to twelve hours a day). I'm no psycho who thinks videogames are more important than school, but once you've met me you'll realize that I could teach an entire four year major on professional videogame play. If you want a captain who is dedicated to teaching his players anything they wish to know, and if you want to be in a clan that will be going across America competing in tournaments of videogames, then Sign-Up for the Monster Clan and prepare to dominate the competition.


Some Common Questions about the Monster Clan...


1) Will the clan be divided into skill levels?
Yes: The clan will be divided into skill levels
Core Players > Latent Players > Reserve Players

Core Players
BF2: Top 8
Halo2: Top 4
LOTR:BFME: Top 2
Guild Wars: Top 4
Forza: Top 1

Latent Players
BF2: Top 16 (including top 8 - so there's technically 8 latent players and 8 hardcore players that make the 16 latent players)
Halo2: Top 8
LOTR:BFME: Top 4
Guild Wars: Top 8
Forza: Top 2

Reserve Players
All other players that didn't make the cut of Latent Players

Also: Monster Clan will have teams A and B for most games - so being a part of the Latent Section means you will prolly scrim against the Hardcore Team, and if you beat them you may become the new Hardcore Section. This would occur mainly in LOTR:BFME 2v2 or a 2v2 Forza Racing team. In BF2 we would take the best sniper, medic, engineer, etc. and make an awesome squad out of those players (once they develop good teamwork of course).


2) What do I have to do be in Monster Clan

a) Always improve your game when you get the chance; whether it be once a week or once a day. (Here and there you can mess around, we're not that hardcore)
b) Show up for scheduled practices (unless you have a legitimate excuse, and I'm pretty lenient on what is legit - such as dinner with the folks or something is fine)
c) Show up for as many tournaments as possible (the less you practice and the less you show up for tourneys, the less chance you have of going any higher than "reserve" - Don't forget, some of our players are actually at the professional level, so play hard and play to win)
d) Always keep your cool. Basically, there's a difference between explaining a glitch that occured in the game which allowed the other team to win, and slamming your controller into the ground and challenging the other team to a fist-fight outside. If you lose your cool, you lose your spot in Monster.
e) Any predjudice at all (except against Jews, rednecks, blacks, mexicans, chinese, japanese, and all other races and religions) is prohibited.
--- By the way, you need a sense of humor too. (I'm not predjudice at all, and any actual hatred in this clan will immediately be dealt with through expulsionary measures)
f) Never claim that someone is better than you only because they play more which makes them a nerd. The only nerds are people that play 10-12 hours a day and sacrafice going to school or having a job in order to play games. These are people in clans such as 3D, TmG, and other professional names you may have heard of. Nobody at Howie's sacrafices their lives to play videogames, WHICH MEANS I WANT TO HEAR "GG" LOUD AND CLEAR AFTER EVERY GAME - WIN OR LOSE. If 3D walks in the door and beats us, then so be it because some of those guys truly do have no lives except to play videogames. I CAN'T STRESS SPORTSMANSHIP ENOUGH, MAINLY BECAUSE IT HITS THE CLAN, NOT THE INDIVIDUAL.


3) Do I need to play all the games?
No: You do not need to play all the games, it is only a requirement to play one game.
It is suggested that you play more than one game, but if we can have a bunch of specialists in one game that works pretty well too. Whatever is fun for you is all that is necessary to play.

Sent you a request, I'm around level 30 at Halo 2 without good teamwork, in rumble pit I do better because then I don't get incompetent people. I'm pretty good at bf2, I play certain maps over and over to learn their intricacies. My stats are a little bit screwed up because I've been trying to get the Expert Knife Combat Badge, which I finally did the last game I played. I'm getting a gaming cmoputer and BF2 and the expansion. Almost a Gunny. I used to be insanely good at SOF: Double Helix because I was thirteen and played 14 hours a day all summer... but now I have school, water polo, and swim. I do what I can.
